The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, May 27 reveals Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will agree to do Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) a solid.
Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will give Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) the guilts after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) tells him to run the smear campaign. Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will worry. And Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) will be wary, when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) begins to waffle.
Y&R spoilers tease Adam will find himself on the hot seat. “Why have you not hit Billy Abbott hard about all the incompetence, malfeasance?” he’ll ask his son. Adam will make up an excuse that they’re still working on the articles. Victor will remind him he’s reporting to him, not Chelsea.
“Why the hell have you not gone after Abbott Communications?!” Victor will add. “I want them to be hit hard, If you can’t do it, I’ll find someone who will!” When Chelsea walks into Adam’s office, as Victor is leaving, he’ll say he hopes she can convince his son to do what needs to be done.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nick Is Grateful For All That Michael Has Done
“What is Victor forcing you to do this time?” she’ll ask, and she’ll assume he’s going after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). “So, you’re going to smear him,” Chelsea will say. And she’ll ask if he’s been lying to her this whole time.
Adam will say Victor threatened to fire him if he doesn’t follow through. “It looks like my first day at Newman Media will be my last,” Chelsea will reply. Adam will ask if there’s any way for her to make peace with just this one capitulation.
But Chelsea will say, and rightly so, that there’ll always be something else. “What should we do, twist the knife?” she’ll add. “I wouldn’t be able to live with myself and I don’t think you’d be able to live with yourself either.”
Chelsea will remind Adam he’s a better man now, he’s changed. “I’m not wrong to think that, am I?” Adam will tell her she’s not wrong and he’s figured out what they can do. He’ll suggest they create a scandal to divert Victor’s attention away from Billy.
At the ranch, Nikki will tell Nick that Michael quit. She’ll say he wanted to remove himself from Victor’s latest vendetta against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). They’ll decide to go out for breakfast and, not surprisingly, they’ll run into Michael and Lauren.
Michael will ask Nikki how angry Victor was. “Actually, he seemed like a man who had just lost his best friend,” Nikki will say, trying to guilt him. Nick will ask if he’d reconsider but Michael will say he made a promise to his wife. So, Nick will tell Michael he’s grateful to him, nonetheless.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Lily Asks If Amanda Set Up The Meeting
When Nick and Nikki walk away, Lauren will suggest they take a trip to Italy and Michael will agree. “I would love to go to Italy with you.” Then Victor will walk in, see Michael and stroll on by. And Michael will ask Lauren if he made a mistake by quitting.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will approach Amanda at Society. She’ll ask her friend if she’s curious about her taking over Chancellor. “I may regret saying this but I am intrigued,” Amanda will admit. Phyllis will say Chancellor will need very public faces representing it, so why not them?
Once again, she’ll ask Amanda when she can meet Dumas and she’ll suggest she fly to DC with her. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will show up and ask Amanda about the meeting Devon Winters (Bryton James) requested. Amanda will say Dumas has denied it. Lily will say it would be easier to get a meeting with the great and powerful Oz than with Amanda’s boss.
“Well if you do get a meeting with the wizard, ask for a heart,” Phyllis will quip. Lily will say she’ll do that, right after she asks him to give Phyllis some class. Then she’ll turn to Amanda and ask why he won’t sit down for a simple meeting. But Amanda will tell Lily she and Devon need to let it go.
When Lily storms over to the bar, Phyllis will ask if Dumas really does want to protect Winters. “Or does he see it as some kind of threat?” But Amanda will tell her not to get distracted. “Let’s just take it one step at a time,” she’ll say. “Focus on your pitch Phyllis. Let’s see if you can get your foot in the door Phyllis.”
Finally, Phyllis will put her foot up on the table. “Trust me, I’ll get my foot in there,” she’ll tell Amanda. “And if we are meeting with the wizard, maybe I need ruby red slippers.” Then she’ll book her ticket to DC.
